What you will be playing
Ch.01 — BuildOne loop, endlessly re-run: every challenge wants a different vehicle, so you build a new one, send it, and watch physics do the rest.
A different vehicle for every challenge
This is the game: read the challenge, then build for it. A hill climb wants grip and torque. A long jump wants speed and wings. A joust wants something that hits like a truck. Snap-and-go building takes seconds to learn and a lifetime to abuse — blocks, wheels, boosters, wings, and a lot of questionable ideas.
Then send it and see what breaks
Race down enormous staircases, grind up steep hills, thread narrow balance beams, survive the derby and stick huge jumps. Real physics means every crash, bounce and pile-up plays out differently — and your ride carries its own damage, so a rough landing leaves a mark.
Party chaos with friends
Jank Yard is best loud and crowded. Hop online, bump your friends off ledges, and settle grudges head-to-head in a joust where two rides launch straight at each other and only one drives away.

Steam tells wishlisters when a demo goes live, so this is the one step that does the work for you. It also counts toward the visibility that gets a small game seen during the fest.

The demo installs from the Jank Yard store page itself — there is no separate listing to hunt for. It appears as its own install button once the fest opens.
Bring someone
Jank Yard is at its best with other people in the yard. Grab a friend, or find one in the Discord — that is also the fastest way to tell us what broke.
One week only
Steam Next Fest runs October 19–26, 2026. The demo comes down when the fest closes, and the full game follows in Q4 2026 at $4.99 USD.
